Kyle Hartman, an eighth grade student currently attending Kelvin Grove Middle School, told Porter Press that he had a great first impression of the school. With the whole event being focused on the incoming freshman, it seems right to get their point of view on the event. The Porter Press was one of the many clubs in attendance, and two of our own student reporters interviewed some coaches, staff, and incoming students about their experiences and feelings about the event.
The staff and other students try their best to make the incoming freshmen and their families feel welcome, as well as interest them in the variety of clubs and sports LTHS has to offer. Step Up Night is the time when all incoming students are invited to see Central Campus and explore the various opportunities that are available to them.
